Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Republic of Azerbaijan in B&H, with the office in Budapest, H.E. Eldar Hasanov, accompanied by the high diplomatic and economic delegation of Azerbaijan, visited Aluminij d.d. Mostar, as part of a wider visit to Herzegovina and meeting with relevant local political, scientific and economic factors.
In the official absence of the CEO Marijo Gadžić, the host of Aluminij was the Executive Director for Economic and Financial Affairs, Dražen Pandža, with associates, and in numerous delegations of this energetically rich Caucasus state with access to the Caspian Lake, the Head of the Mission of the Diplomatic Representation of the Republic of Azerbaijan to B&H Elnur Guliyev, Director of the Economic and Cultural Center of Azerbaijan-Montenegro Seyran Mirzazad and Euroregion Coordinator of Eastern Europe, headquartered in Belgrade (Serbia), Murat Türkoğlu.
The Prime Minister of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, Nevenko Herceg, PhD, Mostar City Mayor, Ljubo Bešlić, Minister of Trade in the Government of the FB&H, Zlatan Vujanović, Rector of the University of Mostar, Zoran Tomić and several ministers and other representatives of the HNC Government, and the Western-Herzegovinian County, together with the leaders of several companies and the Tourist Board of the HNC.
Although most of foreign trade between Azerbaijan and B&H is currently based on the pharmaceutical and food industry, the ambassador is keenly interested in Aluminij's strategic plans, seeking room for consideration of the possibility of establishing new forms of co-operation between the two countries. The Director Pandža introduced him to the factory business with Aluminij's needs for a stable and price-sensitive supply of energy, as well as a vision for the development of the metal processing industry, with the aim of achieving higher levels of high-grade processing of metal from Mostar within the Aluminium d.d. Mostar.
